An English teacher in the Upper School since 1977 and the father of two Pingry alumni, Mr. Sluyter is also the author of three books and two audio programs on meditation and enlightenment in contemporary life. He leads local meditation groups in the adult community as well as workshops throughout the United States. Mr. Sluyter also volunteers as a prison chaplain for the New Jersey Department of Corrections. Information on these activities is available at deansluyter.com.
